
GEOGRAPHY
This term we have been focussed on learning about our local area. We are now able to place Carmarthen and the River Towy on a map of Wales. We have used a street map to plot routes from our homes into school. We have also taken a closer look at the environment of our school.
By using a map of our school, we navigated the outskirts of the school to discover information. This required us to use our geographical enquiry skills. One of the aspects we wanted to find out was how clean our school environment was. We decided that the best way to show this on a map would be to colour and label the areas concerned. The codes we used were as follows:
Red - A high level of untidiness or rubbish.
Amber - Some signes of rubbish or untidiness.
Green - The area is clean and tidy.
