DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY

 As we've been studying the Celts in history, we decided to base our D&T project around this. We have learned that the Celts used to make their own pots and crosses so we thought we would design and make our own as well. It was important for us to plan this carefully. We started off by studying the styles and patterns the Celts used to make their pots and crosses. Here we are designing our first draft on paper:

Here we are constructing the first parts of our pots and crosses by forming a base shape out of clay. We designed our patterns at the same time while the clay was still moist. We used chiselling tools, pencils and other items to create these patterns.

These are our finished Celtic pots and crosses. As you can see, they are very colourful and they have some wonderful patterns on them.

I'm sure The Celts would have been very impressed with these!
