PHYSICAL EDUCATION

2007/2008

We have had many exciting opportunities this year in P.E. Below are some pictures of our visit to Scarlet's Stradey Park. We took part in a sponsored mile for 'Schoolchildren for Children' and we raised £165. We were able to walk around the pitch before the game and meet the Scarlets mascot 'Cochyn'. 

 We have also had the opportunity to watch the Scarlets train and to meet the players this year. We were given tickets to their game against Edinburgh as well as lots of other treats, including signed posters.

 We have competed in the Carmarthenshire Schools Cross Country Championships this year. Joseph and Naomi achieved a very high finish and qualified to become a member of the Carmarthen Harriers Athletics Club. Congratulations!

 We have competed in the Dragon Sports World Cup Tag Rugby tournament this year. The event coinsided with the actual World Cup and each school was nominated to represent a competing nation - we represented Romania. We created a banner and painted our faces as a sign of support.

 Many of us take part in a Dragon Sports after-school club every week. We learn lots of new skills across various sports. The club helps us get fit but we really enjoy taking part and making new friends. 

2006/2007

We have learned many new skills and games in P.E. already this year. Some of the sports we have tried are football, rugby, swimming, netball, rounders, gymnastics and dance. We enjoy doing these activities both inside and outside.

Here we are developing our football skills by having a mini-game at the end of a session. Both boys and girls enjoy taking part in P.E. and we all learn together.
