
We have been very busy in art this year. We have been learning about Vincent Van Gogh and we have learned about mixing colours. At the moment, we are in the process of learning about still life drawings.
We have studied Van Gogh's painting 'Starry Night'. We investigated websites to find information about Van Gogh and his style of painting. We used different instruments to draw our own versions of 'Starry Night', including pencils, pastels, paint, chalk and felt pens. We even used a template from the internet to colour in online. In addition to this, J1 have also made a display of mixing colours. We experimented with paints within a lesson to see which colours could be mixed to create further colours. Here is what we found out:
